BIM-based Facility Management Models for Existing Buildings

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is mainly used for the design and construction of new buildings. However, one main challenges facing BIM adoption existing or old buildings constructed without consideration their modeling obtaining raw accurate building data converting it to model. Based on this challenge, study develops a framework that uses different capture techniques buildings, then transforms captured into 3D models through which can improve its management processes as facilities during service life.
